Samuel’s Sammiches & Sweets began as a tribute to our son. In the midst of the pandemic, we lost Samuel and felt our world crumble. Instead of closing ourselves off, we chose to heal through food. We packed up our lives, moved to Rob’s hometown of Corner Brook and poured our hearts into a restaurant where family, friends and strangers could gather, eat and share stories.
Trained at the College of the North Atlantic, Rob brings his passion for savoury comfort dishes into our kitchen. From burgers and Filipino BBQ skewers to pancit noodles, his love for experimentation and hospitality shines through every plate.
Cristina — a registered nurse, biology teacher and midwife — channels her caregiving experience into meticulous baking and decorating. She runs our dessert program and marketing, crafting cheesecakes, pastries and custom wedding cakes with precision and love.
Filipino fusion isn’t just a trend—it’s our story. Cristina’s Filipino roots inspire the vibrant flavours and desserts, while Rob’s Newfoundland heritage brings hearty comfort to every dish. Together they blend their backgrounds to create food that feels like home, prepared from scratch with kindness and care.
